It only works when it conects obiously, not while you guard. For example, The Last Sasuke have that kind of thing, as you just need to simple jump after he uses his allmight pull on the combo. He means characters that can continue their combos WITHOUT need a chakra dash.
This is why people can get 40-80 hit combos off because its a part of the game. Some characters can just combo freely with jump cancels into a longer combo or do character swaps in mid combo that extend combos. Every character has a combo ender and just before the combo ends, you can cha dash cancel the combo, and pretty much do the combo for as long as you have Cha.
